Q

40-year old recent CIS graduate looking for advice

I'm a 40-year old recent university graduate (B.S. in Computer Information Systems). For the last 25 years, I have been working in the broadcasting industry. I'm having difficulty finding a position that will utilize my past experience and newly acquired knowledge (by no means an expert). Do you have any suggestions?
Without knowing any details regarding your previous background, I'd start by leveraging the contacts you've developed through your extensive history in your previous job. Research firms within the broadcasting industry for potential opportunities. And, by all means, contact any old colleagues still involved -- let them know you're looking for work within IT, and ask them for potential leads.
