Q

Access denied when accessing Win2k server through a local PC

We have a LAN with Windows 2000 Server. Sometimes while accessing the server from a local PC through Network Neighborhood, access is denied. At the same time, if I search computer startfindcomputerservername, it is available for browsing. It will be great help if you could please explain this. Thank you in anticipation.
This is most likely a DNS issue. DNS may be configured incorrectly or not responding properly to Active Directory. I've had this problem on several networks and I'm still trying to figure out a definitive solution. Everything I've tried to date works for a while, but after a few weeks the same error creeps up again.
