Q

Auto enter the login/password

I am running a LAN. Each time I reboot a computer, I have to manually enter the login/password for each network drive/printer. I am trying to reconnect to the server machine. Can I create a bat/script to do this automatically? Each computer is running Win2k Pro including the server machine.
You are running a classic workgroup where each machine has its own set of credentials in its local SAM. You cannot stop the machines from demanding credentials when you connect to them. However, you can avoid being bothered for a name and password by putting your user name and password into each machine. The fastest way to do this is with the Net User command. Logon to each machine with the administrator account, open a command prompt and type: "NET USER username password /add."
