Basics of setting up Win 2000 Server

I just got another PC and installed both Win 2000 Server and AD on it. I'm trying to create a domain and make the new PC a full server. The goal is for me to access applications and files from the server using my other PC (running XP Pro). How can I make this happen?

You need to get a basic how-to install Windows 2000 domains book and work through it. Microsoft Press has a few titles or you can grab one of the Dummies series books. There are lots of little issues you probably don't know about that you've overlooked or mis-configured. You'll probably need to start from scratch on your new system and follow the detailed instructions in a how-to guide.
