Q

Can I administer a Windows 2003 Server without Terminal Services?

Expert Laura Hunter explains how a user can remotely administer a Windows 2003 Server without Terminal Services.

Is there any other way of remotely administering a Windows 2003 Server other than Terminal Services? Since I cannot buy the client licenses for Terminal Services for Windows 2003, I need some other way out.
You can use any third-party remote administration utility that is supported on Windows Server 2003. However, it's important to note that you can use Terminal Services for Administration to create up to two simultaneous Remote Desktop connections to your 2003 server without requiring additional licensing.
