Can I partition my hard drive so I can dual boot XP and Solaris?

I recently bought a laptop (with 20GB hard drive) that has Windows XP pre-installed on a 10GB partition. I want install Solaris 8 on the free 10GB partition and be able to dual-boot between XP and Solaris. Ideally I'd like to partition the 10GB partition in two 5GBs and install Solaris on one of them. Can you tell me if this is possible, and if so, what would be the best way to set this up?

Yes it is possible, but you'll need a partition management software such as Partition Magic or System Commander.
