Q

Can I use MS migration tools to move to AD from a NetWare environment?

Can the Microsoft migration tools be used to migrate to Active Directory from a NetWare 5.1 eDirectory environment?

Can the Microsoft migration tools be used to migrate to Active Directory from a NetWare 5.1 eDirectory environment when using Account Manager (NDS4NT) to administrate my NT4 domains? I directory-enabled NT before AD was even around. I am thinking yes, if I treat it as a pure NetWare migration. The big treat will be the passwords -- essential treat would be file security settings.
Yes. There is a Netware Services for Windows that includes the Directory Synchronization Services that will allow you to migrate many things. Passwords can be an issue. But at least it will get you started. Have a look at this article on the Microsoft Web site. If you have more questions please write back!
