Can Windows XP be used to manage user accounts?

Can Windows XP be used to manage user accounts, i.e. with the AD Computers & Users MMC snap-in? I have administrators that need to update user accounts, but I don't want them to have a server console.

Yes, Windows XP can be used to manage a Windows 2000/2003 Active Directory. Using the Windows 2000/2003 CD, look for the AdminPak.msi in the I386 directory. Install that file on the Windows XP workstation. You will then be able to administer the AD as long as you have permissions.
