This is a common problem that is easily resolved. First, open the Control Panel, choose the Power Options, click the tab marked APM and make sure the "Enable Advanced Power Management Support" checkbox is enabled. If this doesn't resolve the issue, check the advanced power management settings in your system BIOS.
