Q

Copying Active Directory to a new server

I have a server containing Active Directory and Oracle Database. I planned to have two new servers to replace the old one and separate Active Directory and Oracle. How can I copy Active Directory from the old server to a new server so it can be running well?
Install the new system as a new domain controller in the existing domain. As long as you are running Windows 2000 or Windows 2003, all DCs are peers. Once the new DC shows resiliency, demote the original system down to a member server. Then you can use it to transfer your data to the new database server.
