Q

Display icons not on primary monitor

I have Win2000 installed on two partitions. I use three monitors and when I boot into one of the partitions, the desktop icons will appear on one of the secondary monitors rather than on the primary monitor. When this happens, I have to drag the icons from the secondary monitor to the primary monitor. This only happens on one of the partitions and never on the other partition. I would like to know where I can correct this problem in the Registry.
You can assign a primary monitor in the Display Settings. Click on the display you want where you want the icons to appear and select the "Make Primary Display" option. This makes the Registry updates for you. Restart the machine, boot to that partition, and see what happens.
