Q

How can I grant a user rights to manage a particular service?

We have an AD domain with Win2k member servers. I have a server that I would like to configure so that a domain user who is a member of the Local Users group can query/stop/start a particular service. How can this be done without having to grant the users full access to the entire services database?
For details on how to perform this action, see KB article 288129, HOW TO: Grant users rights to manage services in Windows 2000.
