How can I re-enable services.msc?

I am using Windows 2000 Professional. In order to free up resources that games can utilize, I had disabled services in services.msc. Now I can't seem to enable the services again. Please help.

You may have switched the service to disabled or manual in addition to stopping the service. First, set the service back to Automatic. Then click Apply. Next, click Start to re-launch the service. If that fails, then you may need to perform a repair install (an upgrade install) to repair the damage. It is possible that the installation of a game after making the service setting change altered the registry to the point where you cannot re-enable a service. The only way to fix this is to repair the registry either from a backup or through an upgrade/repair install.
