How can I restore a disabled Administrator account?

I have only one Administrative account and two power user accounts on my standalone PC. By mistake I disabled the Administrator account. Now I can't change my settings (i.e., install/uninstall programs). What should I do?

Don't panic. If you want to restore a disabled Administrator account, there are a couple of ways to do this. The easiest way is to boot the system in Safe Mode, since the administrator account is always enabled in safe mode. You should be able to log back in that way most of the time.
