How do I configure Win2k server as a PDC?
Windows 2000, when installed in a new domain will automatically be a PDC if it is the first system in the Directory Structure. If you are upgrading from Windows NT 4.0, you will want to upgrade the PDC first. That system will then still be the PDC. If you have an AD and want to move the PDC role (called Flexible Single Master Operations role), you will use the Active Directory Users and Computers or the tool NTDSUTIL.exe from the support tools to perform the action.
