Q

How do I create an attribute to display user properties?

I have AD installed on a Windows 2000 server. I need to create an attribute to display in the user properties. How can I create it? Thanks in advance.
Very carefully. You will have to follow several steps simply to allow for the change to take place. Here are a couple of articles that you will need to read to get the process down: Microsoft Knowledge Base articles 257203 and 248717. I would highly recommend doing some tests on another machine that is not currently your production domain. This will prevent corruption of your production environment. Even adding a simple attribute can cause problems, so test them thoroughly.
