Q

How do I prepare SQL Server for an NT4 to Win2k migration?

Our client is planning on moving from NT4 to Windows 2000. There are SQL Server 7 clients and SQL 2000 databases on the server. What are the pre/post actions that need to be initiated for this task?
Really nothing. I would certainly make backups, but SQL Server 2000 is relatively unaffected by the process. The location of the SQL services is usually the biggest deal. This would mean a solid DNS infrastructure would be required, and WINS as well.
