Q

How do I use ASP or ASP.NET to enable Web site visitors to submit forms?

complete a form and submit it to me, so I can then access my server to see what they have posted? (Just exactly...

as I am doing with you now!) I know there has to be a client and a server side to it, but how do I start and finish.? I know very little about it. Don't worry about IIS, I have read up on that. My problem is that I don't know how to write the client/server. Thanks. People are writing whole books on different aspects of ASP.NET, so there's no hope that I can answer the question in this forum. The best place to get started is looking at MSDN Online. That will get you started with what you can do with ASP.NET. There are a couple of excellent books you might want to look at to get started (all are from Microsoft Press):

  • Building Web Solutions with ASP.NET and ADO.NET by Dino Esposito

  • Applied Microsoft .NET Framework Programming by Jeffrey Richter

  • Programming .NET by Jeff Prosise
