How to reformat Windows 98 to Windows XP

I am running a machine using Windows 98 and I need to reformat and install Windows XP. What command should I use in MS PROMPT to do this?

The best way to do that is to simply boot from the Windows XP CD and use XP's own setup to format the hard drive. Windows 98 has no internal commands to facilitate something like this anyway, so it's best to just use XP's own installer to perform the formatting.

You might have to configure your PC's BIOS to boot from CD to do this, and the way this is done varies from computer...

to computer depending on the manufacturer. Call your manufacturer (or ask a local guru, they can usually figure it out), and they can walk you through how to do it.
