IE customers have trouble with proxy server

For customers who use IE, when going through Microsoft Proxy Server to authenticate to our Tomcat server through HTTPS and POST, it appears that the proxy server trims out the parameters at the end of the URL, replacing them with nullnull. This in turn prevents them from being able to access and use the site.

Strange. You specify IE, which leads me to believe the problem doesn't happen with clients using another browser, like, say, FireFox. Given that assumption, Microsoft KB article 831167 might describe your problem:http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=831167

Their suggestion is… you guessed it: install a patch. I'd make sure that clients have the latest patched version of IE, and that your Proxy Server also has the latest patches. If you still experience a problem, you should contact Microsoft support.
