In Win2k domain, Win98 computers can't retrieve the user's list from the Win2k SP2 Server

In a Win2000-based domain, Win98 computer clients can't retrieve the user's list from the Windows 2000 Server (SP2). Only the groups appear. I installed a hotfix (from MS) for the Win98 machines for this, but the problem persists. Any ideas?

I've always had trouble networking Windows 98 and attempting to access all the networking resources that MS claims it should be able to reach. I've not found a workable solution and usually end-up upgrading to Windows 2000 Professional. There may be a solution, but MS is not offering it in a location that I can find.
