Q

Installing applications from the server to the client

Using Group Policy, how can I install any application from the server to client side?
It all starts by having an MSI file that can be deployed using Group Policy. Next, make a share on a server (or, better yet, a DFS.) Then, create a GPO and link it to the location you want, say, an OU. Finally, edit the GPO and modify it to deploy software. The ability is available for both users and computers. Simply drill down to User Configuration | Software Deployment or Computer Configuration | Software Deployment. Obviously, there's more to it than we have space for here. But that should give you a rolling start on your journey.
