Is it possible to have AD sync up with the NT4 PDC before downgrading it to an NT4 BDC?

I am in the process of upgrading to MS Exchange 2000. As of now I have a dual NT4/Win2k domain. The NT4 is my PDC. Is it possible to load the Win2k Active Directory and have it sync up with the NT4.0 PDC before downgrading it to an NT4 BDC?
The AD and NT 4.0 domains MUST be separate domains. You cannot have an NT 4.0 PDC in the same domain as a Win2K AD controller. So what you propose is not possible. What you can do is establish a trust relationship between the two domains and then use the AD Migration Tool (ADMT) to clone the user accounts and groups from one domain to the other.
