Q

Mass changing user properties

Where is the hidden trick to mass changing user properties such as "password never expires" under Win2K? We use command line user manager and script changes now but it seems to me that MS should have provided a GUI way.

There is no facility in the W2K GUI for making changes to more than one object in Active Directory.

This situation changes in the next version of Windows server, codename Whistler. You can change just about any attribute in multiple objects at the same time. You can also drag-and-drop objects.

Whistler server is due out late this year or early next year. Until then, keep using those scripts.
