Our current PDC has Exchange 5.5, WINS and DHCP on it. Can I make Win2k the PDC when I split the cur

I am physically splitting my network into two networks. Currently I have a PDC that has Exchange 5.5, WINS and DHCP on it, and it will be going into one physically split network. I still will have NT 4.0 machines on the new network. Can I make Windows 2000 be a PDC on the new network?
Not if you think you are going to make the Windows 2000 machine the PDC for the same domain as the other network. If the NetBIOS names or DNS names are the same, you will definitely run into problems. Now, if your intention is to build a pristine environment on the new network to migrate user to, you can do this safely with a little planning.
