I received a Win2k client computer in my office that came from an NT domain, with which I have no contact. When I try to change the domain of the client to a workgroup or other domain, I get a message that I cannot unjoin the domain and that the revision level is unknown. I am logged in locally as the administrator. How can I remove this Win2k Pro computer from an NT domain it no longer sees?
Perform an upgrade install of Win2k Pro onto the system. This may repair whatever issue is causing your problem. If that fails, you may need to perform a complete re-install. I was unable to locate any specific documentation regarding your issue.
