Why does my computer reboot on its own? I have WinXP Pro installed. It happens often when I'm using Media player 8, when clicking to switch songs. This thing has a mind of its own. I used to get two driver errors, but they were fixed when I re-installed XP Pro over itself. I no longer get any errors, but it still reboots randomly. If it matters, the drivers I previously got errors on were both Roxio.
Early versions of Roxio 5.0 had significant problems when used under Windows XP. Check the Roxio Web site for updated patches to correct the problem. You may also have non-compatible hardware or using unreliable or corrupted device drivers for your CD drives.
