Q

Run an ASP file on any server

Can an ASP file (an active server page) be run on any server other than Microsoft?
Apache, the Web server software that hosts more sites than any other, supports a flavor of ASP. ASP, by definition, can run on any type of server with any compatible scripting language. Therefore, technically, the answer is yes. However, you cannot generally take ASP code that was written for VBScript on IIS and drop it into an Apache server.
