Q

Securely deploy multiple DCAMs in an AD domain

What is the most secure way to deploy multiple DCAMs in a large single AD domain? There are a couple things you...

can do to maximize security for DCAM installation.

  1. Change the port used for forwarding to SQL Server. Here's a link that talks about the steps involved.

  2. Use a local security account. Instead of using a domain account for MOM services, use a local computer account. This means a bit more work is involved in the way you manage the account, but its more secure.
