Setup won't recognize domain name for Win98 to Win2k Pro upgrade

We are currently running Windows 2000 Server in our company. I have a Windows 98 Standard Edition machine that I want to upgrade to Windows 2000 Professional. Upon installing the upgrade, I am asked for my domain name for the computer to be connected to. When I give the domain name, setup tells me it cannot locate the domain. I have added the "computer" to the Active Directory already, but setup doesn't seem to recognize it.

The tool is looking for the domain via the DNS entries. Make sure that the DNS name of the workstation is appropriate for the domain and that the Windows 2000 Active Directory DC has properly registered all of its DNS names (there are many). On the DC, you can run the NetDIAG.exe from Support Tools to see if everything is okay.
