Time on my NT PDC and BDC jumps ahead by a few hours from time to time

The time (clock) on my NT PDC and BDC jumps ahead by a few hours from time to time. What may be the cause and how can I fix it?

This occurs when the time-synchronization feature either fails to get a response from a time server or gets a garbled response. I would either install a third-party time synch tool, or custom-define the time server used by the systems with the NET TIME command.
