What is the best way to migrate files between servers?

What is the best way to back up export security permissions on a Windows NT Server? I exported the HKLMsystem/CurrentControl/SetServices/LanmanServerShares key -- is this all I need to do? Will I need to load the new shares to a Win2k server?

The best way to migrate files between servers is to use the Robocopy utility, available in the Windows 2000 & 2003 Resource Kit. If you've already migrated your data and just need to migrate permissions, follow the steps in Microsoft KB Article 323275: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=323275.
