What services use NetBIOS in Windows 2000?

What services use NetBIOS in Windows 2000? How is file and print sharing executed in native mode of Network Neighborhood?
Lots and lots of services default to using NetBIOS over TCP/IP, even when in native mode. You can disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP through the Advanced configuration options of the protocol. You should also disable NetBIOS in all external or outbound interfaces. I was unable to find a definitive list of exactly which services use NetBIOS. You might be able to find something useful by searching Technet.
