Q

Why doesn't the APM applet appear in Control Panel?

When I installed an SMS client on a Windows 2000 server, the APM applet does not appear in Control Panel. Is this a problem, or is this by design? If so, how can I execute an advertisement manually (not mandatory)?
Yes, the APM applet should be appearing on your Windows 2000 server. Make sure there isn't a domain or local policy restriction on the Windows 2000 server that would stop the SMS client from installing completely. In the server's Control Panel, open the Systems Management applet, and then click on the Components tab. Check to see what state the APM component is in.
