XP laptops lose ability to see Win2k server in domain

XP laptops lose ability to see Win2k server in domain

I have new Windows XP laptops connected to a Windows 2000 Server with a domain. The laptops lose their ability to "see" server shares intermittently. Although mapped drives remain, the files and folders in those drives sometimes disappear. Why?

If there is more than one domain controller in the Win2k domain, and the controllers do not have a proper trust relationship established, you may see this behavior. Check to make sure the domain controllers have proper trust.
