Global Update Manager (GUM) definition

Global Update Manager is a cluster component in the Windows Cluster Architecture.

Global Update Manager is used by other internal cluster components (such as Failover Manager, Node Manager or Database Manager) to replicate changes to the cluster database across nodes.
