SharePoint 2013 Design Manager snippet

A SharePoint 2013 Design Manager snippet is HTML markup that can be copied and pasted into a SharePoint Master Page Design file.

Snippets, which can be selected from the SharePoint 2013 Design Center Snippet Gallery, allow SharePoint administrators to easily configure and add components such as search, navigation and SharePoint web parts to master pages.

By default, a snippet inherits its style from the master page's cascading style sheet. All sections of a snippet, with the exception of HTML preview, are enclosed in HTML comments to avoid interactions with the Document Object Model (DOM) and existing styling.
