WinDirStat (Windows Directory Statistics)
WinDirStat (Windows Directory Statistics) is a free, open source disk
usage analyzer and cleanup tool for Microsoft Windows.
The program scans disk
drives and generates reports that show which directories, files and file types are using
the most space. These reports are viewable in three ways: via a directory list sorted by file size,
a treemap that shows all files within the directory, and an extension list that shows statistics
about usage by file type. These reports can be exported to email.
WinDirStat provides the user with the ability to open Windows Explorer to clean out the
directories or remove files and folders directly within a program. Users can also set up executable actions that
will perform disk maintenance on demand.
