QUESTION POSED ON: 12 March 2004
I recently set up a laptop with Windows XP over a wireless network to share a printer attached to my desktop running Windows 2000. The desktop is my connection to NTL broadband via a router. When I print from my laptop in MS Word everything is ok, but if I try to print from the Web my desktop reboots and nothing prints. Any ideas what would make my desktop reboot?

Be sure that you are running the latest service pack for the operating system, the browser, as well as whatever version of Microsoft Office you're running. It's possible that a DLL has become corrupted. You should also try re-installing or updating your printer drivers for the same reason.
