QUESTION POSED ON: 29 October 2004
How can I configure a user profile on a Windows 2000 Server? Must I configure the Active Directory first or not?

>
User profiles are set up in Active Directory when a domain is present – I am assuming that you are referring to roaming profiles here. On a workstation of a server that people log in to locally, you can still set up a profile and define a location for it. However, this typically is not what people are looking for when they refer to roaming profiles.
