QUESTION POSED ON: 06 April 2005 I use Remote Desktop to administer remote servers and desktops throughout my organization (those running TS or Windows XP). Is there a way to do the same on Windows 2000 desktops? I have seen the MS Remote Desktop add-on for Windows 2000, but that is only for outbound connections. It doesn't allow inbound. Is there another way?

Remote Desktop is a feature introduced in Windows XP, but it is based on Windows Terminal Service which is built into Windows 2000 Server. For end user support, many organizations use the SMS Client utility that is distributed with Microsoft SMS Server.
