QUESTION POSED ON: 04 August 2005
My servers are reporting the following domain error in the system log:
"Windows cannot access the registry information at domainname;sysvoldomainnamePolicies{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}Machineregistry.pol with (53)."

The system logs become full within an hour. Do you have a solution?

I often see this error in environments that only have a single domain controller. It happens because clients are unable to access the SYSVOL share during logon to access startup scripts. See this article for reference: http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?kbid=232300 for more information.
