The WSH Bazaar has a whole slew of useful scripts that you can just run as-is. The MSN Windows Script group also has tons of useful things, and the Win32Scripting site lists a few good ones.
In the long run, though, you may be better off biting the bullet and learning the Windows Scripting Host language; the initial curve is a bit steep, but once you get the hang of it you can pretty much do anything.
