Following your Rename multiple computers advice, is there a way to rename mulitple computers and accounts programmatically without attending the PCs? Or, are you aware of an application to do this?

I did a little digging and found a Google Groups thread in which this very topic is discussed with a couple of possible choices. One involves a command-line tool called COMPNAME; the other is a tool called NETDOM from a Windows Server 2003 installation. The scripts themselves could be generated with a VB script and then dropped into the appropriate user profile directories on the server.
