QUESTION POSED ON: 22 December 2006
When we talk about domain environment DNS, what is responsible for resolving host names when they communicate with each other?

Active Directory and AD-aware clients (Windows 2000 and later) will use DNS as the default method of name resolution. Windows NT4 and Windows 9x clients will use NetBIOS name resolution by default, such as that provided by a WINS server.
