QUESTION POSED ON: 03 March 2005 I have computers running XP and XP Pro. I have a recurring problem with print jobs getting stuck in the print spool. I can't delete them! This creates several minor problems. I've tried everything I can think of, but I can't get rid of them or figure out why this is happening. I'm running a mixed wired and wireless network in case that matters.

Try opening a command prompt (Click Start > Run > type "CMD" in the window) and entering the command "NET STOP SPOOLER" without quotes. After the service stops, enter "NET START SPOOLER" to restart the print spooler. You can also start and stop the spooler service using the Services applet in the MMC. To get to the root cause of the stuck print jobs, check the event logs of your workstation and print server.
