QUESTION POSED ON: 02 December 2005
How can I apply a Group Policy for users and computers that are domain members, but that live on different subnets? In the DC's subnet, the Group Policy works perfectly, but not for the other subnet.

>
GPOs are applied in the following order: local policies, followed by policies linked to an AD site, followed by domain-linked policies, followed by policies linked to organizational units. If you have GPOs that are not applying as you think they should be, you should use the Resultant Set of Policy (RSoP) tool in the Group Policy Management console to determine which policies are being applied to a particular user/computer combination, and if multiple policies are in effect, which one is "winning" for a particular setting.
