Zeus Technology's ZXTM 4.2 manages application traffic, inspecting, transforming and routing requests as it load-balances across the application infrastructure.
ZXTM's TrafficScript engine lets IT managers implement whatever traffic management policies are most appropriate for each enterprise. Zeus Technology Ltd. has added a handful of features to ZXTM 4.2, such as forward-proxy capabilities, improved Web caching, and increased security and encryption support.
The tool is designed for application acceleration, allowing users to boost the number of transactions an infrastructure can handle as well as the speed and responsiveness they experience. It also works toward building confidence in the safety of applications and user data by allowing users to mitigate flash floods, filter invalid or malicious requests, and apply access controls.
Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager 4.2's new features include the following:
Forward-proxy capabilities that let organizations better control outbound network traffic, such as employees or customers accessing the Internet. With forward-proxy mode, all ZXTM content inspection, rewriting, caching, bandwidth management and rate limiting can be used with outgoing traffic.
Support for nCipher netHSM cryptographic key management products.
Enhanced Web caching features to improve management of cache content and performance improvement of Web-enabled applications.
