MedSolutions receives an average of 170,000 calls per month from health insurance providers and physicians seeking approval for patient treatments. The company's call-center staffrequire immediate access to information stored in MedSolutions' proprietary customer relationship management database. MedSolutions needed to replace its previous SAN vendor when recurring performance issues made it difficult and slow for call-center staff to access critical information.

Zantaz adds audit trail to archiving software
Zantaz Inc. announced a new version of its Digital Safe 6.5 compliance archiving software. The new product includes features that create an audit trail of archived e-mail messages, use hardware "tokens" for secure Web-based logins, ignore hits caused by disclaimer text, monitor messages for each individual user, refine searches and highlight time gaps in e-mail discovery result sets.

AmeriVault outsources archiving with AXS-One
AmeriVault Corp. announced that it will be using AXS-One Inc.'s records compliance management software as the foundation for a new outsourced archiving and records compliance management service. AmeriVault, a private company in the Boston area, provides disk-to-disk data protection and recovery services, including online data backup, e-record archiving and data replication. The AXS-One platform features search technologies, online record archives and compliance features.
