Free analyzer tool checks ISA Server health

A new member of the BPA family of free tools is available today. The software checks the health of the Internet Security and Acceleration Server.

Microsoft has released a free tool for IT administrators who want to check the health of their Internet Security...

and Acceleration Server.

The Best Practice Analyzer (BPA) for the Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 1.0 is a diagnostic tool that tests configuration data collected on the local ISA Server 2004. The data comes from the ISA Server hierarchy of administrator COM objects, Windows Management Instrumentation classes, the system registry, files on disk, and the domain name system settings.

Microsoft also offers BPAs for Exchange Server 2003 and SQL Server 2005. You can download these tools at Microsoft's download center.
